The life and times of Matt the G.
Well it's been a while since there has been any legitmate content on this blog.. so I guess I better put in some effort.
Quite a bit has happened since I blogged last. I am now a married man. The wedding was quite nice. I was nerveous as hell during the ceremony but once we got up to the reception I seemed to relax a bit. Lots of cool presents.
Get married my shallow friends, it is a great source of presents. Glen and Roz took this to a new level by having an engagement party and getting yet more presents before the main present giving event of the wedding.
Speaking of engagement parties we went to this quite odd engagement party for an old school friend from School X who shall remain nameless. She is a drama/teaching student at uni (maybe finished, not sure) and this seems to have had a detremental effect on her mental stability. She made us play party games. Not adult party games like:
but odd childrens games like the one where you get in groups of two, stand on a bit of newspaper while the music is playing and when it stops get off and fold it in half..
Just odd I say.
Anyway, back to the most important thing in this blog, me. After the wedding, on the Sunday, we dropped Gareth and Cathy back at the airport, after dragging them along to an enjoyable bbq at katrina and ieuans place. Then Jill and I spent a couple of days recovering from the hectic weekend of marriage and much celebration.
After the reception on Saturday night we went to this awesome place in the city for dinner called Lat 27. Man that is some good eating. Glen and I both has these awesome beef cheeks with bacon.. They were so very tender and delicious.
Ahh crap.. almost uni time.
To cut a long story short, after dinner we had a night at the chifley on lennard in the city curtosey on Glen and Roz. It was awesome, but we were so fucked that we hardly even knew where we were.
This blog has been a bit back and forth along the old timeline. Maybe I should have started with some kind of plan. Oh well. It makes the read that much more interesting.
The honeymoon was great. It was in the barossa... see photos below.. . spent a shiteload of money.. but had a great time.
